Gum Spring Library: A Great Beginning

Saturday, November 7th, was the official start of construction for the long awaited Gum Spring Library. Over 200 people gathered for the ceremonial ground breaking at the Stone Ridge community off Route 50 in Loudoun County. Van Metre Companies Chairman, Beau Van Metre, opened the festivities, and speakers from the Library Board, FROGS, and Stevens Miller lent their support. Karen Montgomery, head of the Friends of the Gum Spring Library, stated that they hope to open in the fall of 2011.

Refreshments, face painting, a moon bounce, and special Gum Spring Library backpacks were enjoyed after the ground breaking. Van Metre hosted the event at the Stone Ridge Clubhouse.

Stone Ridge is an award-winning, master planned community of new homes in Loudoun County, Virginia by Van Metre Homes.
