5K in Loudoun County
The Annual Stone Ridge Race for Education, a 5K race to benefit their local Loudoun County Schools, will take place on October 17, 2009. Last year over 800 people raced the 5K course which winds it's way though the Van Metre community. The start line is at the Stone Ridge Village Center behind the Harris Teeter grocery store. Funds from previous races have bought high-tech teaching equipment, athletic facilities, and other areas. The race is part of the Loudoun Race Series. To register visit stoneridge5k.org.

Located at the Van Metre Community of Stone Ridge in Loudoun County, HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Virginia will employ approximately 200 people and offer the latest rehabilitative medicine, as well as private rooms. Once fully operational, the state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital will provide the residents of the Northern Virginia area more access to high-quality and cost-effective rehabilitative services.
